The various organisms on earth are part of complex symbiotic communities known as ecosystems. We are not only producing by-products required by the others, such as CO2 or O2, but we are also part of a food chain and will be consumed for food subsequent to our death. Plants produce fuels using energy obtained from sun light. Consumers rely on these fuels, and decomposers are required to make the organic substrate plants require to grow. Life on earth requires the simultaneous coexistence of many kinds of organisms. Our ecosystem exists as a stable balance between communities of microbes, plants, insects, animals etc. Life on earth may fail entirely if any of these major groups of organism were to go extinct. Evolutionists believe that all life on earth evolved from a single common ancestor, but the Bible says that God created these many kinds of organisms almost simultaneously and thereby accomplished what remains a requirement.

For a food chain to function we must all be made of the same building blocks and store biochemical energy that is usable by the other consumers. It is for this reason that we share a common design. We were designed with the same biochemical systems so we can each provide these components. All cells use the same system of DNA and protein, and can therefore serve as a source the amino acid and nucleotide building blocks required by another. We also share the same basic metabolic pathways that produce or breakdown macromolecules and possess the cofactors required for these processes. However, because of these core similarities, the scientific community assumes all life on earth has evolved from a single ancestral cell. They deliberately ignore the fact that life on earth requires a simultaneous existence of many organisms. This concomitant presence of many lifeforms clearly supports what the Bible says; that God created many "kinds" of organisms over the course of a few days.  Instead, evolution is an attempt to offer a purely natural explanation for the existence of an ecosystem that could only result from intelligent design.
