Michael Oard
Michael J. Oard is a creation scientist with a specialization in Atmospheric Science. He is a prolific author who has published numerous books and papers in widely recognized creationist and secular journals. He worked for close to 30 years as a meteorologist/weather forecaster with the (US) National Weather Service, and now dedicates much of his time to creation science research. Mike's research interested have focused primarily on topics such as evidence for Noah's flood, the Ice Age, and the mass extinction of the Woolly Mammoths.[1] He speaks regularly at creation conferences and other venues and has served on the board of directors of the Creation Research Society since 2001.

Worldwide Evidence For Noah's Flood
The evidence for the global Genesis Flood is provided by all the hundreds of flood traditions from all over the world. Evidence for the Flood is found in sedimentary rocks that commonly cover huge distances and show little or no erosion between layers—unlike how mainstream geologist interpret the rocks based on small events over millions of years. Trillions of fossils in the sedimentary rocks provide powerful evidence for a global Flood, since fossilization today is rare (remember that mainstream scientists rely on present processes to explain the past). Moreover, the fossil record does not show evolution because of the gaps in the fossil record. Mollusks that make up 95% of fossils are predominantly closed shelled, strongly indicating that they were buried and fossilized rapidly all over the earth. This points to a global catastrophe and not small events over millions of years, the alternative mainstream view. Lastly, the talk delves into what we learned about the Flood from the eruption of Mount St. Helens.
Earth's Surface Shaped By Receding Floodwater
A variety of evidences for the receding of the Floodwater off the continents will be provided. Geological evidence is first presented for differential vertical tectonics to drain the Floodwater. As the Floodwater first drains as wide currents, great erosion occurs with the formation of planation surfaces and the long transport of resistant rocks. As more and more land is exposed above the Floodwater, the water becomes more channelized forming another set of unique landforms. Water and wind gaps, pediments, and submarine canyons will be described. All these features are very difficult, if not impossible, to explain by the uniformitarian paradigm, providing strong evidence for the reality of the Genesis Flood.
Don DeYoung
Dr. Donald B. DeYoung is an avid creation scientist and educator specializing in astronomy and physics. He chairs the Department of Science and Mathematics at Grace College in Winona Lake, Indiana. Don has taught at Grace College since 1972. Sabbatical travels have taken him to San Diego, Europe and the South Pacific. [1] [2]
Dr. DeYoung is the current president of the Creation Research Society with over 1,700 members worldwide. The CRS funds research, operates a lab in Arizona and publishes books and a technical Quartely journal. He gives lectures on many creation topics including astronomy, intelligent design, the Genesis Flood, and dinosaurs. Don strongly believes that the details in nature definitively point to the Creator and His love for mankind. Don also conducts workshops for children with hands-on Bible-science activities. He also writes and speaks for the organization Answers in Genesis.

Discovery Of Design
Scientists frequently look to nature for ideas on new products and solutions to problems. A classic example is Velcro, found in feathers and cockleburs. Several design examples will be presented from animals, plants, and nonliving objects. These examples, present since creation, defy evolutionary explanations.
Current Events In Creationist Astronomy
Ten questions will be covered including, Is there life in space? Did an asteroid kill the dinosaurs? What would change on earth if there was no moon? Will the world end in 2012? The answers to such questions strongly support the creation worldview.

The Moral Impact Of Darwinism On Society
Darwinian thought has not only damaged our scientific knowledge of the world--it has also led to the moral decline in the West. Many leaders have tried to apply evolutionary science to moral issues, and the results have been devastating. Darwinian evolution denies that man was created in God's image and has led to the de-valuing of human life. It has played a significant role in the eugenics ("good genes") movement, ultimately leading to atrocities such as the holocaust, abortion, infanticide, and euthanasia. The influence of evolutionary thought on Planned Parenthood, Nazi Germany, the Soviet Union, and American culture will be examined.
Refuting Four Recent Attacks Against The Historical Jesus
Dan Brown, author of The DaVinci Code, claims that the church never believed Jesus to be God until the Council of Nicea in 325 ad. Elaine Pagels of Princeton University believes that the so-called Gnostic Gospels should be added to our Bibles, despite the fact that these works contradict the New Testament teachings about Jesus. Bart Ehrman argues that, due to all the variants in the copies, we don't really know what the original manuscripts of the New Testament actually said. And Dr. Robert Price doesn't even believe Jesus really existed--the early church borrowed from pagan myths to construct their own Jesus myth. Christians must be able to respond to these four attacks to show the world that the Jesus of the Bible is in fact the true Jesus of history.
