Larry Vardiman
Larry Vardiman is a creation scientist and educator with a Ph. D. in Atmospheric Science from Colorado State University. He served as the chairman of the Department of Astro-Geophysics at the Institute for Creation Research’s Graduate School since 1989 and has authored many technical papers and books including overseeing the editing of the book, “Radioisotopes and the Age of the Earth.” Dr. Vardiman’s ability to converse in technical terms about creation science and also being able to communicate with the lay person has allowed God to use him in many ways — from the classroom to the great outdoors as a tour guide, to the radio waves on ICR’s program, Science, Scripture and Salvation. Much of Dr. Vardiman’s scientific contributions have been in the areas of cloud seeding, ice crystal growth and evolution, the age of the earth’s atmosphere, ice sheet formation during the Ice Age, and catastrophic hurricane formation. Dr. Vardiman has also authored a book discussing creation science from a layperson’s standpoint. Entitled Over the Edge, the book chronicles his more humorous experiences as a tour guide on ICR’s Grand Canyon tours.
The Creation of the World: Understanding Gen. 1:1 is a word-by-word exposition of Genesis 1:1 from a young-earth creationist perspective. How the Bible describes the creation of mass, space, and time. The theology of God, the creation of everything from nothing, and a taste of Hebrew will be addressed.
Radioisotopes And The Age of the Earth: The Earth’s Young After All is a discussion of the results of an 8-year rarch project to explain the billions of years for the age of the earth estimated from radioisotope dating and the thousands of years given in the Bible. Three major evidences for a young earth will be presented—(1) an alternative helium diffusion method of dating the earth associated with the decay of uranium to lead in granite, (2) accelerated decay rates inferred by radiohalos found in granite, and (3) the presence of radioactive carbon in coal and diamonds.
Steven Austin
Steven A. Austin is currently the Chairman of the Geology Department, Institute for Creation Research Graduate School. He has had professional, peer-reviewed projects at Mount St. Helens and within the Grand Canyon. Specific research projects of Austin's include the mass deaths of nautiloids within the Redwall limestone of the Grand Canyon, radioisotopes of Grand Canyon rocks, and earthquake destruction of archaeological sites in the Kingdom of Jordan. In 1999, Dr. Austin published research in the prestigious, peer-reviewed journal International Geology Review.
The Floods Came Up And The Rains Came Down: A Catastrophic Flood Model is the discussion of a model for the Genesis Flood which is powerful enough to explain the geologic column, features of the Grand Canyon, and the ice age. The Catastrophic Plate Tectonics Model explains the separation of continents, mid-ocean ridges, volcanoes, and continental ice sheets and glaciers in thousands of years rather than millions.

Chris Ashcraft
Chris Ashcraft is a creation scientist, speaker, and educator. He obtained the Bachelor of Science in biology from Wayland Baptist University in 1989, a Master of Science in biology from Texas Tech University in 1996, and a Master of Education from the University of Washington in 2008. Chris was a research technician for 12 years specialized in plant tissue culture and genetic transformation technology, and is currently a high school science teacher at North Sound Christian School where he teaches Biology, Chemistry, and Creation Apologetics. He moved from research into teaching in response to a call from God to work in creation science missions. He is firmly committed to researching and teaching creation apologetics and speaks periodically at churches, schools, and creation organizations in the Northwest United States. He is the founder of the Northwest Creation Network and the CreationWiki internet encyclopedia where he serves as senior administrator. He also organizes the Seattle Creation Conference.
Wonders Of The Cell: Cell biology provides many extraordinary examples of intelligent design. Inside each and every organism resides biomechanical systems and molecular machines that Darwin and his contemporaries could never have imagined. Even today, much of what is happening inside cells is still not understood and yet evolutionists hold fast that these remarkable constructs developed without God. These two contrasting views of the cell provide poignant illustration of how worldviews impact our interpretation of physical evidence. This presentation will discuss the cell as it relates to these opposing views and describe some of these important cellular features, which offer testimony to the glory of the Creator.

Dennis Flanders
Mr. Flanders has been a christian since 1966 and recently retired as CEO/CIO of ITC2 International Technical Certification Corporation. During his 45 year career Mr. Flanders became an internationally recognized teacher, author and lecturer in the Information Security industry and conducted classes, seminars, and workshops worldwide. He has a Masters degree in Information Science from American University and a Ph.D. in Christian Education from Cornerstone Theological Seminary. He became interested in Creation Science and realized that this fundamental doctrine was taken for granted and somehow minimized by many Christian believers. He currently serves as Dean of the newly established Creation Science Department at Cornerstone Christian University.
Origins And Information: Mr. Flanders will be reviewing some of the revealing insights from science and the information sciences on the evidences of design in the origin of life and its implications for our destiny. He also demonstrates that the highly intricate information present in DNA destroys the theory of chance-driven, accidental origins for life. Because information is not possible without an intelligent source he will present the case for intelligent design pointing to a creator God.
